Major Job Responsibilities:

1. Ability to develop, articulate and help implement a vision for our Forest Grove Football program.
2. Have high expectations for all student-athletes and coaching staff.
3. Realize that you are a role model and are expected to conduct yourself with the highest ethical and moral standards of good sportsmanship and teaching.
4. Development of an off-season training program.
5. Scheduling practice sessions with consideration for assistant coaches and student-athlete welfare.
6. An advocate for multi-sport athletes.
7. Cooperate with other school-sponsored sports by encouraging athletes to play more than one sport.
8. Assist in the hiring of quality assistants for your program.
9. Be an integral part of our youth wrestling program.
10. Responsible for marking, care, inventory of supplies/uniforms etc. Responsible for your sports academic improvement/accountability.
11. Understand and be a conduit of information regarding eligibility, tryouts, cuts and all other team-related information including lettering, team rules etc.
12. In case of injury making sure that the athletic trainer, parents and if necessary the doctor are involved in care of the student athletes.

Qualifications:

1. Successful high school / college coaching experience or equivalent.
2. Football background./ NFHS trained / Concussion trained / First Aid card
3. Communication, motivation and organization skills.
4. Strong collaboration with other coaches in building a strong athletic program.
5. Have high expectations of student / athletes to achieve academic success.
6. Teaching license if applicable.
